Looks like 2kaa52 above may have the answer. The question now is can you do the fix or does it have to be done by a dealer to clear a possible recall bulletin.

My first thought would be to see if there is any corrosion on or around the Unlock button connector. Do you have the shop manual for the vehicle? If so, does it say what the voltages should be at the Unlock button?
