Odometer states SAFE and Incorrect Key Programming

Engine Adaptation channel 91 is 4, so immobilizer is good as I understand it. Unsure if anyone has messed with the cluster. I do know this was an ex-mobility vehicle before I bought it and I don't believe it had a key for the ignition, it was push button start. The Keyed ignition has been...

Odometer states SAFE and Incorrect Key Programming

Hi all Been a little while since I last posted and finally getting around to the same issue I had around 12 months ago. VW T5 Multivan 2009. SAFE on odometer when using both of the two keys I have. 1 key is VAG original, other I think is non-original as no PN on the key. Both allow me to...

SAFE on Odometer plus 01179 Incorrect Key Programming - VW T5

Screenshots from VCDS as follows - just realised took the screenshot of the first key before I pressed enter on Group 22 MBs - but the numbers were 1, 1, 1, 1. I'll nip out shortly and run it again but here's what I have right now: Original Key Second Key

SAFE on Odometer plus 01179 Incorrect Key Programming - VW T5

Thanks Uwe. Sorry it’s taken me a while to respond! Checked measuring blocks 22 and 23 and nothing jumping out, other than it whilst both keys are all good, the “number of keys adapted” MB states “1”. I’m guessing that’s the reason for SAFE, since it thinks there’s only one key but there’s...

SAFE on Odometer plus 01179 Incorrect Key Programming - VW T5

Hi all Progressing well with my refit of the former mobility vehicle VW T5 and I've come up against an odd issue. Odometer shows SAFE when I turn on the ignition with either of the keys I have (both keys came with the vehicle). Van starts and drives - no flashing immobiliser light. Ran a...

Resolved VW T5 Steering Angle Sensor problems

Just to update anyone interested, turns out the wrong sensor had been installed (sensor was for a non-ESR model). New sensor fitted and basic settings completed as per the RossTech wiki, now all sorted.

Resolved VW T5 Steering Angle Sensor problems

Thanks Uwe. Apologies for asking a stupid question, but is the lack of a signal the reason why the Basic Setting button is greyed out? So sounds like either the clock spring is an issue or the wiring to it. Best get the wheel off and take a look. Appreciate the feedback.

Resolved VW T5 Steering Angle Sensor problems

Hi all I have a VW T5 caravelle 2.5l auto that has was a mobility vehicle and has had all the adaptations stripped out and allegedly replaced to standard. I’m getting two particular error codes of note but at the moment I’m trying to sort out the steering angle sensor, as I’m getting 00778 No...

No Response from Gateway - Gateway Installation List - HexV2

Hi all New user of VCDS and appreciate this could be a real newbie question, buts it’s driving me nuts not knowing the answer. I have a UK spec VW Transporter T5 Caravelle 2009 model. Software is 22.10 and I have updated the drivers for the Hex-V2 adapter. In the Autoscan section I can run...
