this sounds familiar, my own Hexnet pro only works with usb when the cable is tilted to an angle, if this is not done pc wont detect it, I use it via wifi most of the time so has not found a reason to worry, ...... thank you so much for the info as i had already scolded my tech to be more keen...

done, unfortunately all the laptops reports it as not recognized due to a malfunction, we have used our spare usb cables as well, it works ok on wifi, there is a faint burning smell coming from the HEXNET usb port!

Hello, I bought a hexnet on January 27th 2024 for one of my technicians in my shop, today it is not detected by all our laptops,even though it lights up, which makes me think it may have failed, does this qualify for a warranty repair

there is indeed a document somewhere , let me see if I can get it and share..... also worth sharing that I recently did a BCM upgrade from BCM PQ35 M 1K0 937 086 R to BCM PQ35 H+ 1K0 937 087 AN both are 433mhz if this helps

I could generate RDKS parameters for you, but you have to have the other tool with you to fill them in, I have retrofitted RDKS on my own car, I hope you did a background detective work to settle on 5q0 907 273d to be correct for your VIN... Awesome forum members and kings of retrofits here...
