Hello! I just wanted to post an update on this. I picked up a steering column from a 2006 Jetta GLI, which included the steering control module. I swapped the control module over to my car and was able to complete the calibration process. :thumbs:

Hi Jef, Thanks so much for your response. I forgot to add that I did replace G85 with a new one from RMEuropean. You gave me an idea, though. I removed the back cover from J527 and heated up the female pins with a soldering iron for the G85. Unfortunately, that did not resolve it for me. :(
