So I ditched the ARM device and got a new x86 device. I've never had so much trouble in my life with VCDS. I've had my HEX-CAN cable for years and many different laptops.

So here I am trying to install VCDS, software installs fine. Driver for the cable wont.

Code:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

%hs is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x

What device are you installing on (make, model etc.)? What is the exact version of Windows you are installing this on?

OS build 19042.1110
Serial number 004428310551
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0

Strange. I have a Surface Go 2, no issues installing drivers on it.

I did a clean install and still was presented the same issue, I booted into mode without driver signing required and had the same issue.

Check this:
Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Security -> Device Security -> Core Isolation. Is "Memory integrity" turned on? If so, turn it off.

That "feature" uses virtualization and will likely prevent the driver from loading. It is generally off by default on most systems, but I wouldn't put it past Microsoft to have it on...

I was just getting down this road, as the drivers would load in safe mode with no issue and as soon as I booted into regular mode it gave erros.

Your solution was correct, thanks for the assistance.
