Thanks DiegotheCat. Good guesses, as good as mine - Door Slam Lock; it might be related to another line in O5 ACC/Start Auth.:

ENG129020-ENG126975-internal_passive_entry_exit_byte1-passive_exit_door_slam_lock

I believe the term Passive, in this context, refers to the locking feature being automatic, but I'm still guessing here to.

I did think of that one too TW.

It's not a fun mod to do, it always freaked me out when I turned it on. Just always worried that the car would lock withy keys in it. Even tho that's not supposed to happen, but it did once.

Good luck with it.

I know what you mean, me to. But so far I've not had a problem, I just keep my fob in my pocket (where it belongs). Anyway, I tried changing the "control by pulling the door handle during active DSL_timeout" to 5.00 s and it had no effect in delaying the instant 'Door Slam Lock', so I still really can't confirm the meaning of 'DSL'

Since that's a "perhaps", I'd like a confirmation.

-Uwe-
Uwe: I used the term"perhaps" as a diminutive; an acknowledgement that my request was (of course) provisional on the judgement of the forum's decision maker. Apology if my sentence structure has caused confusion. Yes, I believe that the acronym can reliably be interpreted as I suggested.

Yeah, it could mean Too Much Chutzpah! :D

@Bruce : Not true. In fact, entirely the opposite (completly without audacity - IMO, appropriately asked with due respect, timidity and diffidence)!!

Admin- should SWAP be in the forum lexicon?
I thought it was. Let me see if I can figure out what's up with that.

-Uwe-

ETA: It was defined as "SWaP" and marked case-sensitive. I think we should keep it case-sensitive, since we don't want it to show up ever time someone uses the verb "swap", but I've changed it to "SWAP".

@Uwe: Arrrhh.......... that makes sense - thank you!!

As a related, but different question and case-sensitive restrictions notwithstanding, why do these defined terms exclude plurals?

For example, a single trouble-code DTC appears as a defined term, but multiple trouble codes DTCs do not! Is this purely a limitation in the forum software, or is there deliberate logic behind the dynamic?

The way the forum software works is it looks for a word with white space (or certain punctuation marks) on either side of it. You wouldn't want it to try to define a three letter acronym sequence that happens to be embedded in or part of another word, right? So while 'DTC' is defined, 'DTCs' isn't. Of course, I could add an entry for 'DTCs'...
