Bit of an update. I changed the can gateway and still no change, coded in fine and ran fine for about an hour ,switched it off and tried to start it again but nothing dash was dead and no coms with anything except engine ecu. 5 min later all back on and working. So far its never happened when...

I was kind of thinking that could be the problem. A second hand CG is only £20 so will start there. Iv removed the old one to get part number and check for water damage. It dosn't look like there is any water damage and no corrosion but at only £20 il swap it anyway.
