Hi I got the VCDS software from the Ross tech website and also got a genuine Ross tech cable it is an older used cable but still genuine I am waiting on verification but I am working on the Passat today so thought I would put a post up in the new user forum to see if I Could get any help also...

Hi i am new here and i need some help please I am working on a 2008/9 VW Passat and when I try and start it starts up for around 1 second then cuts straight out again a mechanic has changed the steering column lock and says it needs programming but I don't how to do it can any one help me also...
