    BCM capabilities

I can see why, after several hours and a few days of crawling upside down and still running into additional roadblocks I decided a tap/add a fuse was best. I wanted to confirm power and sort everything else, and if it bothered me that much I'd come back to to break it after it was working...

    BCM capabilities

I attempted to run the fuse connection to SC36 as the Osram lights do not require a power connection to the fuse box, they come with their own direct to battery connections. I tried the zip tie trick, and gave up. I figure the fuse well is too deep to force the connection to lock with such a...

    BCM capabilities

Ah, thank you Don! It was late, and I had spent way too long upside down underneath my dash when I wrote this. I may have confused which addresses I have access to long coding. I believe I was able to figure this out and will be moving forward with the coding today. I was able to finish most of...

    BCM capabilities

HI George, I'm following your retro fit, at least partially, for my install. I'm following your coding advice, but I have a newer BCM, so I can not do a long code edit and have to use adaptations. Rather than a full OEM AFS retrofit, I'm using OSRAM LED Xenon lights. I'll loose left to right...

Hi Don, Thank you again for all your assistance so far. I've begun moving forward with my retrofits and i'm having another issue with decoding a long code to adaptation. I was curious if you could help me find what byte 4 bit 3 (Autoleveling checked) in Address 17? Thanks in advance, Sean

MK7 Golf Sportwagen Rear hatch light on with rear lights?

Hello All, Looking to see if it's possible with coding to have the rear hatch light come on when the overhead "Rear" Light button is pushed. Currently it seems the hatch light only comes on when the boot is open, but I frequently have my dogs back there and would welcome the extra light to...

MK7 Golf Sportwagen Front Fog Retrofit

And never mind.. I had the trigger wire going to 7 on the LDS.:banghead: Everything works fine now that I swapped it. Feel free to delete if needed.

MK7 Golf Sportwagen Front Fog Retrofit

So double checked, A29 pin exists and it's plugged into the correct BCM slot (closest to the engine). Double checked and both B/5 and B/45 have pins and are in the correct middle connector. Still no front or rear fog when pulling out the switch.

Had it plugged into C29, checking pin on a29 and swapping now.

MK7 Golf Sportwagen Front Fog Retrofit

Hello All, I recently finished wiring up my front fog lights on my GSW. I've installed a new light switch with auto, front, and rear fog. I've recently retrofit Euro 7.5 LED tail lights, high line door controllers, power folding mirrors and reverse mirror dip; these are all working but rear...

2017 Alltrack S - How to monitor Boost Pressure?

Sorry if this is ignorant, but doesn't the Neuspeed module create more power/boost by "fooling" the ECU, kinda like JB4? I would think you'd need a boost tap style gauge to get an accurate reading. Though if you have MIB2 with Navi, you could turn on the off road menu for in car display. I...

CP/ODIS/VCDS questions around CAN gateway swap

Hello All, Looking to get a better understanding of CP, ODIS coding, and VCDS coding in relation to my CAN gateway swap. I'm currently researching a MK7 Halogen to Bi-Xenon retrofit, requiring my CAN Gateway to be replaced. I currently have a 3Q0907530B, and need to replace it with a...

Hello All, I'm looking to do a Halogen to Bi-Xenon retrofit on a '17 NA Golf Sportwagen along with a few other upgrades. I'm curious where I can find information on the BCM's capabilities? Autoscan below: Tuesday,04,August,2020,22:38:43:40431 VCDS -- Windows Based VAG/VAS Emulator Running on...
