Newbie here but been around the Volvo world with Vida Dice for some time...so not a total idiot. Although this short/long code (Hex-a-what?) has my head spinning still.

A few weeks back I had a no start situations that had the car stuck in a Home Depot parking lot for a day (no VCDS yet) and eventually unhooking the battery for a few minutes had it starting right up. Push button 2008 T2 and nothing would happen, no relays kicking...good battery...just unresponsive.

I finally got to pulling the codes and although I knew about a few things (from a friends scan) about HVAC servos and stereo stuff I had a new code that may very well be the reason for the no start. I did trip over a post somewhere on the general intertubes about Steering Angle Sensors being one of the few issues with T2 and non-starts. Now I cannot find the article, but I digress...

Anyone got any working knowledge of this error? Intermittent or symptom of bad things to come? Or was this Supply voltage due to me taking the battery offline?

Also...looking at the detailed info from the VCDS-Mobile what are the four count fields about? As a matter of fact what are the all the values there about or if this is a 101 question can you point me to the post or manual chapter that explains these. See screenshot of what I"m discussing as well as the full scan code below.

I don't see anything there that explains your no-start.

As for the "Count" fields, I don't see an example of that in your scan, but I suspect you're referring to freeze-frame data from some scan, and not all the freeze-frame data is documented.

Oops...I did post the wrong thing. Here is the screenshot to what I am referencing. I couldn't figure out how attach and made my error by adding the log which didn't have this data.

Can you explain from this what the counts refer to or is this stuff only Vw knows?

very good battery. Wouldn't one expect lockout to go away once bsttery is retuned to proper voltage or does this condition lock out system module until voltage is returned.
