Good evening, I recently purchased a 2008 Touareg V10 TDI for pretty much next to nothing, the previous owner was convinced by a stealership that he needed repairs that were going to be in the 10s of thousands of dollars. I got the car and thanks to VCDS I found out that the issues were minimal and did not need repairs that were quoted originally. I do have a few persnickety issues one in particular. I posted the faults down below.

here is the fault code list but the 00143 (highlighted in red) fault code "right Front Dampening adjustment" is the one I'm trying to nail down. I just can't seem to find the connector which should have brown/yellow pair associated to it, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. here is the list below of current fault codes:

As for the CAN Gateway "Incorrectly Coded" fault, we'll need to see a complete Auto-Scan have much chance of determining why it thinks it's incorrectly coded.

[19-CAN Gateway]
- Scroll down to the two items that are "Not Registered" at the top of your scan:
- 1C-Position Sensing and 77-Telephone.
- Put a check-mark next to those two items.
[Save Coding] or perhaps it's [Write Coding] now..

PS: FWIW, we always like to see the complete scan, even if there's only one module you're having issues with.

Oh... We may also need to fix 28-HVAC, Rear before your Gateway will be happy. Does your vehicle have a rear climate control panel? If so, does it work or is it "dead"?

thank you I will try that, If you have any ideas about the 00143 fault code, just let me know.....And I will make sure to be more thorough when posting fault issues.😁

If it were mine, I would start by verify the wiring between the suspension module and that damper.

So let me ask maybe a dumb question, is the wiring coming from the Control Module in the right rear of the vehicle continue all the way to the front right strut, or does it connect to another harness as it makes the connection to the front? Love Peter Sellers Avatar, by the way, I saw the "party" not too long ago and I almost died...My family is originally from India so I was impressed.

One would need to dig into a wiring diagram for your specific vehicle to know that.

gotcha...this is the one issue that I seem to have problems with locating at the right front wheel strut. I will keep digging to see what I find.
