I recently installed the oem bluetooth unit in to my6 golf(2009). The unit itself is working and integrated with both the mfd and my rns510. But I have noticed that for some reason the mfd only displays the bluetooth icon and not the battery and iPod logo as shown in this picture

I have scanned the car and indeed there is 2 errors with the unit being reported but I am unable to find a fix for these errors. Any help would be great

Retrofits like this are not my strong point, but I'll take a stab at it...

Looking at the coding there are two thing I find that believe need be changed.

Byte 6 is currently set to "00 Telephone Baseplate Diagnostic active". I suspect that should be set to "01 Telephone Baseplate Diagnostic inactive"

Byte 7 is currently set to "00 Operating Unit for Cell Phone Preparation (3-Button Keypad): North America". With your location listed as "Ireland", I feel safe in saying North America is not correct. To that end, this leaves 2 other options for Byte 7. No 3-Button Keypad installed, and with 3-Button Keypad installed for Rest of World (Ireland).

Those would be my starting points.

You have Operating Unit for Cell Phone Preparation (3-Button Keypad): Rest of the World enabled and that fault code is common when a overhead console is not installed. If you did not retrofit the 3 button console switch assembly I would code that position off (Operating Unit for Cell Phone Preparation (3-Button Keypad) not installed).

Scano.ie's response also cured a similar fault I was having with my 2014 tiguan. I changed my MFSW to remove Push to talk (PTT) and a Telematics code started showing. Making the 3-button key NOT active fixed the 75-telematics fault I was having.

Code:
2103041 - Control Module
          B1788 F0 [009] - Start Prohibition Deactivated
