Have fixed a load of cars destroyed by that application but never coded with it, so have no idea to be honest. If it is possible I would imagine its only via their credit "apps".

It is not true that it is a mixture of TXT coding and long code. The according TXT coding which can be found in the interweb is just an equivalent to Bit 2 in Byte 4 of unit 52.
In the meantime we should all know that TXT coding of a specific other piece of software is just the experimental labeling without Byte/Bit combination addressed.

Besides, this issue is still not solved. There are a few things in the BCM2 (unit 46) regarding dipping mirrors:

    Byte 9 Bit 6 active (dipping_mirrors installed)

Byte 34 Bit 4 active (bap mirror lowering at reverse gear default value = active)
Anyone would like to try if this triggers the MMI menue entry?
By the way, perhaps someone with mirror dipping from factory could post an Auto-Scan??

Fatal EDIT: If really every B9 in the US has this option by factory, then my suggestions will propably not work as these bits are also not set in US cars....

I really did some deep investigations as I have detailed information from two B9 where one has the dipping mirrors and the other does not. (confirmed by the persons who own them)

I cannot find any bit or channel that differs and points to this function, besides the obvious bits in Unit 52.
Can this still be a hidden adaptation channel because of some ASAM yingyang?

Any progress on this? Son has an A4 B9 (UK 2018 model) looking to activate mirror tilt.

This adaptation channel does not exist! It is copied from B8 platform!

Yet no progress. My hope is that this is caused by missing adaptation channels that might occur on later VCDS Versions.
Again, I compared two B9, one with tilt and one without, and found no clue.
