I've tried to remove the Telephone 77 module from CAN Gateway listing however once removed CAN gateway complains it hasn't been programmed correctly.. Is this the right way to disable the Telephone 77 module so there is just one bluetooth working in the car?

@uwe, is there any help available with programming the rcd330 stereo?

If you want to disable your existing Bluetooth module just unplug it.
If it was factory fitted it will be under your driver's seat.
If it was retrofitted it could be shoved in behind the climatronics panel.
My guess would be there MAY be some way of disabling the BT functionality in the head unit but you'd have to find an adaption channel or coding byte to do so.

Address 56: Radio (J503) Labels: None

Component: Radio 534 5314
Revision: -------- Serial number: VWZZZ4R6219226
Coding: 16000400040005

VCID: 4682D36EF199C27193-8013

No fault code found.

Sebastian may have coding info for that unit but I do not. It should redirect to 5M0-035-1xx-56.CLB but that's the RCD-510 coding chart which does not have telephone inactive documented like the RNS-315/310 units. Although this is a complete guess, please try enabling Byte 3, bit 5 to see if the Telephone Transceiver/Bluetooth (Internal) inactive per the 1K0-035-27x-37.CLB coding file applies.

That would change the current coding from 16000400040005 -to- 16000420040005

If that's accepted, and providing you haven't unplugged the #77 module already, please repeat the function tests, maps and scan when 77 is still present in the CAN Gateway list.

@johannvisser, the coding value for the transporter is correct. Keep in mind, the unit was never available in that model, so I am not surprised that it won't display the proper car outline.

@atgw, yes - as stated earlier this year.

Well, I can confirm what blade3562 states above, as I just installed my RCD330 and confirmed that there are no labels in the long coding helper. Sebastian - is there something I'm missing? I'm running the latest copy of VCDS

You aren't missing anything. Looks like we have 6RD-035-187 and 6RD-035-187-A redirecting but B+ are not on the list as far as I can tell. I'll make sure Sebastian is aware of this if he doesn't already have something ready to go for our upcoming Beta. At the present time Beta 17.6.0 is available here

http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/beta/current.php

.. but we plan on having another Beta version (with new labels, etc) available after testing. I cannot provide you with an exact date but I don't think it would be any later than the end of July.

Any update on the 6RD 035 187 B functionality? Just checked for updates and I have the latest software. Hoping to figure out this MFSW problem.

I used the 17.7 beta yesterday to try to code my 6RD-035-187-B for Dynaudio but had no luck.

I managed to change the byte for Treble Speaker Monitoring to deactivated to stop the Errors here. But I received an Error 31 Out of range when trying to change one or both of the Sound System correction to Dynaudio and the Speaker Channels to 'sound system (active speakers)'

I have a value in WSC but no joy. :(

What makes you think that RCD330 supports Dynaudio? I don't think it was ever offered with that option or even intended to be used with that, therefor it's not surprising that the coding option in question isn't supported (hence rejected).

Well, my apologies for not being an expert. I thought options were only displayed if they could be coded.

Thanks for your help.

No, the coding table displayed may not be specific to the exact hardware/software variant you got. We try to be as specific as we can, yet in some cases we cannot test every version out there - like in this case.

I understand. Is this the end of the road though, or are there potentially other functions that are not yet mapped? Let me know if I can help in any way

Thank you @Dana, I will give it a try and post results.

@Dana, the coding of 16000420040005 was accepted on the radio unit, here are the PLA and PLB files you were after.

I've noticed the following errors on the Telephone 77 module and they don't clear if the RCD330 is plugged in. If Radio 56 is unplugged errors from Telephone 77 clear successfully.

Code:

Since running the latest v17.8 version I noticed this option in the Long Coding Helper of Radio 56, I enabled it, coding was excepted however now there is another error which doesn't clear.

Makes sense, the microphone is likely not looped through the headunit - as it is needed for telephone functionality as well as speech recognition.

RCD330 is periodically having issues with the microphone. Now it's been in the car a couple of week people who I call complain they can't hear me well. The microphone quality seems to be hit and miss. Not sure if that's just applies to my unit or across the board issue.

@Dana, after coding done and radio had the chance to fully shut down it did indeed disable BT all together. When pressing the Phone button it says no phone available and in Media sources Bluetooth is not listed. Now, is there any chance to "tell" the Radio 56 to use Telephone 77 for all bluetooth functions just like in RCD310/510?

Well I played around 17.8 last night and got rid of my "treble" errors. However I could not enable mfsw or mfd settings. Maybe I need to update my swcm?

Also I can enable "driving school mode" in VCDS like my Mk7 but cannot figure out how to activate it on the head unit. Maybe that's not possible or the coding does something different on the 330 that I have not noticed.
