you really need too post a full auto scan so we can see whats happening ,I'm assuming that the 48 g figure is for soot mass calculated? if that is so then you wont regen with that amount of soot ,its above what you can force a regen with. post a scan so we can check?

I checked my in 2012:

Long Adaptation Channel 013:
Stored value 0
Regeneration for Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) while Driving
9 ml Particle Filter Oil Ash Volume
23.4 Particle Filter Carbon Mass (spec.)
6.9 Particle Filter Carbon Mass (meas.)
630 km Mileage since last Regeneration

I checked it again in 2016.

Long Adaptation Channel 013:
Stored value 0
Regeneration for Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) while Driving
30 ml Particle Filter Oil Ash Volume
23.4 Particle Filter Carbon Mass (spec.)
7.2 Particle Filter Carbon Mass (meas.)
8500 km Mileage since last Regeneration

If I had know about this problem and Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) problems I wouldn't have bought a VW.

well all I can say is that vcds has monitored and sorted out a lot of dpf stuff since ive had it, my golf is the same as yours year younger that's all same system uds . once the system reads over 24 g, then it gets messy trying too sort out a regen, I guess the question should be what caused the dpf too have such a high load in the first place ?,must have a fault of some description !,or very short journeys now allowing the engine too get too temp and regen .I hope you get it sorted .atb.

short journey for definate

my audi 2.0 tdi has been on short journeys for last 2 months......here the readings......will vcds allow a regen at this level?

particle filter oil ash volume 0.08 l

particle filter soot mass calculated 19.47 g

particle filter soot measured 5.96 g

should i be looking at measured or calculated?

Wait, this is not the same car as in your other thread? If not, please post an Auto-Scan from it. It's not very useful for people to guess what you're dealing with in terms of engine management...
