I have a HEX-USB+CAN that I bought from Ross-Tech when I bought my 2012 B8 A5. I'm looking at the 2019 B9 RS5, hopefully available sooner rather than later. Will this cable work with the newer platform, or should I be looking to upgrade it? Thanks.

The HEX-USB+CAN will talk to most, but not all of the modules in a B9. When you get the new car, you should upgrade to one of our current interfaces.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.
