I was driving my 2014 2.0 tdi passat estate yesterday in a car park so I was on and off the accelerator frequently I could hear a very slight tap every time I pressed the accelerator, I assume it's normal and I have only just noticed it as the car was silent (no radio) otherwise the car drives perfect having only covered 14000 miles

I just wanted to check this with other dsg owners

Cheers

Moved to General VW/Audi Repair.

Do you have any idea where this sound was coming from? The pedal itself? Under the hood ("bonnet")? Somewhere else?

I would say under the hood/bonnet as I press the accelerator/gas it's almost like when you release a clutch on a manual quickly it doesn't sound rough it's just noticeable

Cheers

Although the low mileage makes it not so likely, maybe you should check the mountings.

The odd thing is if I put my foot on the brake in neutral it doesn't do it I wondered if it could be the auto hold

Yup flywheel changed under warranty however after they called today to say it was ready and gave a bs story I went to see it and it was still the same and surprisingly it's the n75 boost solenoid making the thud
