Hello everyone,

I have a VW Transporter 1.9 TDi 2006 with only 1 key (2 buttons) and I recently have lost the key matching between the key and vehicle due to a discharged battery in the key fob. I have changed the battery with a brand new one and am unable to match the key to vehicle with the manual methods (I have tried many many many without success :(

So I have attempted to match the keys with VCDS but get an error code:
1 Fault Found:

01179 - Incorrect Key Programming
35-00 - -

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. The process I have followed is:
[46 - Cent. Conv.]
[Adaptation - 10]
[Read] Channel 00
[save] to reset the existing adaptation
Change to Channel 01 for 'Remote Control Adaptation'
[Read] - shows 1 in 'Stored Value'
Change 'New Value' to 1
Click 'Test Value' and it shows as 1
[save] and [Yes]
I then press and hold the Lock button on the Keyfob within 15 seconds. I have also tried with the Unlock button.
I dont get any beep or hazard light flashing and the key doesn't lock unlock the door
When I read the fault codes I get:

1 Fault Found:

01179 - Incorrect Key Programming
35-00 - -

Any help is greatly appreciated as I have tried for weeks to get this going and am now about to give up.
Thanks

Key is not transmitting RF signal, probably. Or car is not receiving it. Is battery in keyfob ok now? Is it fitted correctly (+/-)?
Full autoscan would be appreciated.

The battery in the keyfob is brand new and flashes when I press either button.

I will do a full autoscan as requested and post on here asap.
