Good Morning,

We've got a number of 2015 VW Crafter vans - Can the software reset the service light?

We'll also need to reset the Inspection light?

Thanks,
Ed

Good question. Not sure we have any feedback from Crafters that new.

Is this a pre-sales question, or do you already have VCDS?

Yes, pre-sales. We don't have VCDS yet.

OK, I'm not going to promise you it's going to work on 2015 Crafters. Those trucks are a strange mix of VW and MBZ components and our support for them is "partial" because there are none available to us to test stuff on ourselves in NAR -- VW never sold them here.

PS: Moved to Pre-Sales Support.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but is there any progress on the process to reset the service light on this model year Crafter? We have two Crafters, one of which I've tried to reset the light a few times with no joy. I have an Adaptation map of the instrument cluster if that is any help?

Thanks,Rob

Posting that map certainly couldn't hurt.

Same Problem and a Solution.

My vehicle is a VW Crafter 50 van, 2011 build. I have searched the net for weeks trying to come across a solution to this as my local dealer also will not reset the service without great a good deal of money exchanging hands. The issue some people don't understand is that the dashboard method for resetting will simply not work on many vehicles, I won't go into the reason for this.
I am still using VCDS Release 17.8.0 and initially found a major issue with Windows 10 Pro wiping out my drivers (fixed now)

I won't post my Map as it is almost identical to the previous Map posted by "AllumyRob".

Here is how it has worked for me;

1) Clear any DTC's
2) Click on LR135057-WIV Reset (VW) Write (This is your SERVICE RESET)
3) Enter "0" as "new value" (stored value is also "0")
4) Workshop code entered in this screen only is 12345 / 123 / 12345
5) Hit "Do It!"
6) Without leaving the previous screen, switch IGNITION to off then back to on position. (At this stage the service reminder is gone!)
7) Close down and exit VCDS
8) Pull up a chair with a cold drink in hand and celebrate!

It is now 4 days since I have completed the reset procedure, some people have reported a return of the service reminder after resetting but I have had no problem with this.

Good luck, I hope this works for everyone else with this problem.
