Hi Guys

Is it possible to measure the BHP the engine is producing and Torque (Nm) its producing?

I see I can measure acceleration (but I havent tried it yet) but wanted to see if I could, in real-time, see what the engine was producing from a BHP and Torque perspective.

Many thanks

Andy

Measure it? No.

Record how much torque the ECU believes (based on its internal calculation) the engine to be making? Yes.
(Assuming the ECU in question actually does that, of course).

PS: If you know torque and RPM at any given moment, you can calculate HP.

Thanks Uwe

Basically I've had an in-line ECU Management fitted from ABT (http://www.abt-configurator.com/en/Audi/Q7/SUV/4M00/30TDI272)

I can certainly feel the difference driving, but I want to measure it (if it was possible). The stock ECU is untouched, the new harness sits in the middle, there was zero coding changes to the factory ECU so that will still chuck out the same data I assume?

Cheers

Andy

OK, so you've installed a "Tuning Box". These work by intercepting and fudging certain inputs to and/or outputs from the ECU, which means that whatever the ECU is calculating is no longer valid...
