Hello All.

I'm new here and have since 4 weeks an Audi A4 B7 2005 and since a week the VCDS cable.
My cruise control is not working and for what I can see in measurement blocks the stalk is working and cruise control is activated by code 11463.
I have tried to deactivate and activate the cruise control already but all without result, see below for all data…
My clutch switch was broken and waiting for a new one, I connected the two pins in the connector from the broken one so I guess it can’t be the problem for now.

Does have anyone advice how to go further?

Thanks !

Stephan

Thanks, this week I will receive a new clutch switch, the old one didn't feel nice so I connected the two pins inside the switch for the time being...

Fix the glow issues.......

Don't forget the brake light switch can be a sporadic condition.

Do a default of the engine ecu by recoding, then reactivating the cruise.

Check all fuses......

Verify speed signal being reported accurately to engine ecu.

Thanks Jack, what do you mean with a default of the engine ecu? Same as deactivate / activate?

I checked the fuses already only didn't see cc in the fuse schedule.

Nope.............recode and see 0x01-07 same data but change your WSC to make sure it took.

0x01-10-00 save clear

Reset key

Power down and than disconnect battery and bridge terminals for cap discharge......at least 1 minute with than key in on position for back feed bleed.

Key off....... battery back together with bridge removed, and then do a TBA 0x01-04-060 an 063 if auto kick down.

Verify cruise active.

check it....

You have not altered the WSC code in config screen as its the same as in your auto-scan. 00237 in your screen shot above.

Paid tech support might be needed for you to hold your hand.

Hey Stephan, What Jack is getting at is making a change to the WSC, Importer or Equipment numbers to confirm that the new coding was accepted by the module. You won't see a change if all of the values are the same and we don't want to change the actual coding.

Edit: Did you replace the clutch switch yet?

Hey Dana,

Yes, I replaced the clutch switch unfortunately the cruise control is still not working
I checked / did the following:

- Replaced clutch switch
- Fuses
- Measured cruise control stalk in 01 and 16 (stalk buttons & clutch/brake switch)
- Checked speed in 01 > measurements blockes
- Activated cruise control 11463 in 01, message: code accepted

Should I change the WSC in VCDS options the following WSC 00237 ? I see also in other modules the WSC code: 06325

Yeah, you can enter just about anything into those fields but using real values from another module isn't a bad idea. You wouldn't want to use 00237 because that is already stored in the 01-Engine controller.

Are you sure that every single measuring block binary bit is switching properly in the 01-Engine and 16-Steering wheel module at this point? The label file information is specific to the modules in the vehicle but this page is a general guide:
