Hi, I need your help.
In this past week I retrofit the Park Assist LPA 2.0 to my GTI MK6 2013, white candy. I buy the kit from Carsystems. The kit includes all necesary parts to retrofit the Park Assist, they even give me a Diagram to connect all the wires from the sensors to my new module.
This upgrade kit includes the 4 sensors (2 for the front and 2 for the rear), 2 ABS sensors, all the wires, and the module to replace the one that I have. My GTI came from factory with OPS (8 sensors and the module), what I do was just upgrade it to park itself using LPA 2.0
I connect all the sensors to the module with the diagram they give me and I use my VCDS to indicate the car that now I have Park Assist in the 44-Steering Assist module and then in the 03-ABS Brakes to active it. I use this DIY http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1819154&postcount=30
My GTI accept all the codes and I have no problem.
Then when I test it give me an error. When I engage reverse in my car it just make a continuous beep/sound and the park pilot button flashes yellow and red, and don't activate the OPS parking sensors.
I made an autoscan with my VCDS and gives me an error in 10-Park/Steer Assist. What I undestand is that one parking sensor is wrong and is not working fine, it just ruined.
My question is, it's correct my understand of the error, one of my rear sensors broke? The one that is not working it's one of the new sensors I install, in this case the rear right one (the one that controlls the park assist or it's the right one that use the Park Pilot)? Or the error is another thing?
It's possible to test the 12 sensors of my GTI one by one using the VCDS to verify the correct performance of each?
Just you know, I erase the code in 10-Park/Steer Assist and test the Park Assist button and works fine. Displays in my MDF the Park Assist Guide and looks for a space to park, finds one and when I engage reverse my wheel starts to move for 2 seconds and came the error that I already describe.
