Jef here from little ole Brunei, posting for the first time, and just gotten my Dongle.
Having recently got this 2006 RS4 B7, found none of the four buttons on the Euro Flat bottom Sports steering Wheel working.
Previous owner claims that the Steering was a MFSW before, and that the car was retrofitted with the Euro Flat Button Sports steering.
The S mode would be selected via the S button on the Dash.
The Multi Function Display, controlled via the Right Control Stalk.
The buttons on the wheel was lit, but non functional, which led me to check out the coding.
Original Coding was found to be 14441.
(Autoscans revealed no faults, apart for Tire Pressure, as the wheels were changed to after markets)
I Proceeded to changing to 16041. All Steering Buttons now works.
When I used 16021, all buttons also works.
Reason for varying 16021 to 16041 was to see variation in messages which I gooten after Autoscanning with the new codes.
No changes in messages was noted.
I have also tried 06021, as I noted that on my option codes in the owners manual, this car had 7QO (Without Navigation Device)
as denoted on the sticker. But gotten same results.
(Car is fitted with RNS-E High.)
However, on running Auto Scan, I got the messages,

( I have no idea whether 46 Convenience message is involved, as it seems intermittent that. )
