A/c not working.

Trying to make sense of how to know if the control valve or the compressor is at fault

The shut off code =6
Compressor current (actual) = blank
Compressor current (specified) = 0.820 A
Comp. load 4.8Nm.
Refrig. pres. = 10.0 bar

I checked the resistance = 11 ohms

Do you want to try hitting the 'Auto' button, or the 'A/C' button, or whatever you have? Report back please.

The Code 6 is what I get when I turn the system off.........this is normal.

The line I'm confused on is; Compressor current (actual) = blank

The line that give me hope is: Comp. load 4.8Nm with A/C on.

BTW there is no change in the A/C gauges from A/C on to Off

Okay, I know, if you would do some more testing for us please. Does it go to '0' and stay at '0' for all of the time the A/C runs?
Does MVB 002.1 appear when A/C on?
Does MVB 003.1 change at all when A/C is on?
Using either intrusive current measurement or a hall-effect current clamp; does the current through the compressor control valve look anywhere near the Specified value?

Sorry for the late reply.....it has a Denso compressor. Paint a white stripe on the very center of the comp. Mine didn't move. Comp. seized.

- Compressor failures are a common issue in many of these vehicles., almost as common as the failing N280 valve ;) ... you should have a close look at the refrigerant oil, if it is NOT clear or clean, you should replace the filter dryer and flush the system.
