Camshaft sensor? PO016 CEL code

2007 A4 2.0 fwd base.
first had check engine light PO303. replaced spark plugs, swapped around coil packs. next did walnut blasting the intake valves and fuel injectors. that code went away. now I have PO016. replaced cam shaft sensor. thinking of replacing Variable Valve Timing solenoid but don't want to keep throwing money at this. car runs fine, does seem a little sluggish off the line

timing belt in front was off by 2 teeth

I'm surprised then that you said, "car runs fine". On older cars, even one tooth off was enough to make them run like crap.
