Audi TT (8J) 2007 - Setting DRLs and Dimming Parking Lights

I have a German spec 2007 3.2 Quattro Roadster and recently replaced the OEM DLR bulbs with LEDs. In addition, I've changed the DLR setting to "Scandanavian" so the tail lights are on too.

So now when the car is running and the DLRs are on -
1 - DLRs come on and front parking light comes on
2 - When the master light switch is turned to "parking lights" the DLRs dim and the front parking lights remain on
3 - When the master light switch is turned to "head lights" the DLRs dim and the front parking lights remain on

What I would like to have is -
1 - DLRs on ONLY with no front parking lights
2 - When the master light switch is turned to "parking light", ONLY the parking lights come on.
3 - When the master light switch is turned to "head lights" ONLY the headlights come on.

I'm guessing the changes can be made in 09-Cent. Elect by chaning Byte 8 (Daytime Running Light Dimming) and Byte 11 (Front Parking Light Dimming)

Question is - is this possible and how do you change the values?

The question for me is why are your parking lights on at all?
Please provide a full Auto-Scan as mentioned.

how do you change the values?

Change the number at "Dec1"
If you for example want 50%, you change the 3 or 0, to 50 and press [Enter].

@ Hadez16 - They're on because this the default setting for a 2007 German spec Audi TT; when the DLRs are turned on, the front parking lights come on.

@ NEtech - I'll give that a try and see what happens.

Just to be sure I understand this, where Dec1: 24 x 1 = 24, the number 24 means the bulb is at 24% brightness where 100% is the maximum brightness.

For the notation where Dec1: 0 x 1 = 0, is this fully on (100%) or completely off (0%)?

That's what I though too. Then can you explain why my front parking lights are on as shown in the pictures above given Byte 11 has the following setting?

Byte 11 Dec1: 0 x 1 = 0 Front Parking Light Dimming

Or is Byte 11 not the correct point for setting these lights??

First if it was me, I would try some of the others with dimming and change them, to see what result it gives.

I changed the setting in Byte 11 to see what would happen with different values. The only value I could change was the first digit Dec; 1 x 1 = 1

To make the change, input the value you want, then press enter and exit the window to go back to the previous screen and select [Do it!] This will immediatley implement the change and you can look at the lights to see how much dimmer or brighter they are.

1.) 0 is 100% bright.
2.) 1 is as dim as you can get, with all increasing values making it brighter up to 99. (See image)

It will not accept decimal values (.01) and it doesn't seem possible to turn it off either.

I haven't tinkered with a Mk5 for a while but if 0 is 100% bright please see if changing Byte 7 happens to change anything. If not I might experiment in Byte 14.

Although that was the 30 Byte module ... the lighting bytes in question have identical text descriptions. Our cars have additional "parking" lights in the bumper so I'm not sure which coding Bytes applied to the ones in the headlamp itself.

Hi Dana - Okay, I'll go through the 09-Cent. Elect. options and play around with the settings. Now that I know how to do it, it's not quite so scary! LOL!
