Navigation Control Module missing in VCDS - can't enable rear view camera

I have a Jetta 2013 in which I installed the RCD330 radio. I connected a rear view camera that was working in the previous radio.
When I go to reverse, the screen does not change, so I wanted to see in VCDS if the rear view camera was enabled under the Navigation control module, but to my surprise, VCDS doesn't show it.

How can I get my camera to work if I can't enable it in VCDS?

You're not going to go very far trying to access the Navigation from a RCD unit. Try 56 instead.

Correction - Under Radio (56) byte 3, I do see 'Back-Up Camera Installed'.
I enabled it, code was accepted. I restarted the car, but still nothing shows when I switch to reverse.

It's been Santos' experience and mine that the 6RD 035 187 A unit will work fine with the factory camera in a 2016 Passat NMS and 2017 Jetta (both are composite - 2 wire, powered by the car), but we never could make the 6RD 035 187 B work in either car, with the symptoms being the same as yours.

After resetting the fault, The radio screen changes when I go to reverse, so the VCDS settings worked. Now, I have a problem that I don't see the video... any ideas?

Right, black screen with "camera not available" or something similar? That's what we experienced after coding the radio for RVC.

What was the previous stereo? Is the camera a genuine VW or an aftermarket one?
Have you tested the camera to see if it still works? If its an aftermarket one or a VW one, you may need an interface to allow the signal to be displayed. These are widely available on the internet. I have installed many this way as head scratching get rather painful after a few hours!

Yes... If the screen changes, I assume the radio is "ready" to accept video so it's a problem with the video signal or camera power delay
