I'm running Parallels Desktop on a 2017 MacBook Pro via an Apple OEM adapter, connected to the HEX-V2 device. I tried all the COM ports and USB interfaces with no luck. Is there something I am doing wrong? Please help. Thanks.

With a HEX-V2, you definitely need to select the USB port in VCDS.

What is the behavior of the LEDs on it?

One possibility is that MacOS isn't yielding the device to Parallels/Windows. It enumerates as an HID device with VID:0483 and PID:A0CB...

Got it to work! I rechecked the yielding of the USB port to parallels as mention and changed it to always connect to parallels, which eventually detected the HEX-V2. I spent over an hour yesterday trying to troubleshoot it. I even considered buying a $100 Windows PC. Glad I posted here.
Thanks!
