Manually time to perform remediation of carbon soot from DPF and verify PSI sensors and clean all conduits.

The firmware in the ECU may very well prevent regeneration when other faults are present, for example this one:

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

Then i will try to fix that fault first, it has to be a wiring problem because the throttle valve and the accelerator pedal tested ok.

Back to the Particle Filter, how does actually the calculated soot mass work, is that only as it sounds, a calculated value ?

So the true soot value is the measured one ?

Based on the descriptions, I think that's correct, but since I don't have source code or specifications for what actually happens in the software in the ECU, I can't really be certain.

So is there any way to calibrate the calculated soot mass value with vcds ? as i had a big leak in the exhaust pipe from the EGR cooler (now fixed) and think the low pressure down to the particle filter might have made the ECU miss calculate the value

Hold engine rpm at 2000 for some time (maybe 10 minutes).

Micke, I have a limited knowledge of the dpf regen system , the calculated value (on my car at least ) is the one that the ecu takes as a trigger point (around 21grms) for a regen too start , their are other factors that come into too play as well, your car wont regen with a figure of 50 grms because of the danger of fire from the exhaust temp and burning soot, thats vw take on the situation anyway, the other reading which was a partial reading on your auto scan was the hpa reading from the pressure sensor!! their are 2 readings which the ecu uses to determine how full the dpf is I only see 1 on your auto scan I usualy read 2 before and after the dpf filter ,this shows how fullt he dpf is and helps determine the soot calculation, I hope this helps, what you do from here is really your choice. remove the dpf and try a deep clean or you could try too do this on the car their are fluids you can pump into the dpf pressure inlets too clean out the dpf , some have success some don't. or buy a new dpf. their is another way but I wont print it here as I don't want you too try it on my say so and damage your car. as Uwe says you have other problems that wont let a regen start as well.

Had the same problem, cleaned DPF with Liqui Molly DPF cleaner, tried regen and still no luck even after a long drive for 45 mins. Reset learned values and "Voila" sorted. Soot level now down to 3g
