Client removed gearbox and bought a 2nd hand valve body and tcu...so he whats programming done..maybe can only do scan when everything is fitted back into vehicle..or is there some other info you need?

Hi guys can these faults cause vehicle to have almost like irregular gear changing...gearbox was repaired in South Africa...vechicle still has original tcu in..vehicle was in accident ran over sidewalk broke piece of gearbox off...Thanks

That ALONE seems like a good excuse to replace the entire transmission with another, so as not to even have to troubleshoot the root cause of the problem.

I'd recommend doing a clutch adaptation in group 60 & 61 when the transmission is at operating temperature (in park, with foot on brake pedal) then doing a test drive to see if that inproves anything. Would you mind telling us the exciting story of running over the sidewalk and breaking off a piece of the transmission?
I don't think your car was designed to go off road in such a manner. The occasional speed bump is as hardcore as it gets for me.

Hahaha...i agree its meant for the road..luckly its not my car,panelbeaters sent it to me after car and gearbox was repaired..i also did do clutch adaptation and the problem was solved..thanks for the advice.

DSG is for lazy pussies & with no foot to hand coordination......... :rolleyes:

Personally I think better drivers would be had, if everyone had to learn how to drive a manual clutch motorcycle & before getting behind a wheel.

100% agree, learning the coordination required between clutch, throttle & gearstick to make a quick smooth manual gearchange is IMHO one of the great pleasures of driving.
