Hi! I am using VCDS 17.8 and HEX-V2 cable on vw passat NMS 2015. Trying to code BCM, byte 18, and car just ignores coding. After I change Byte 18 in (09-Cent.Elect) I press "Do IT" then I get confirmation about coding done. Press OK, but this do not affect car at all. (all doors closed and unlocked) Tried programming with only ignition on, and with engine running.
Also, VCDS throws some errors: EV_ECM18<...>()VW41 unable to find a .ROD file.

Obviously I am trying retrofit rear tail lights, to add amber turn signals. Main question, why car just ignores coding, and software says everything is OK, coding changed.

Cheers,
Tautvydas

Hi, attaching Auto-scan, the car is VW PASSAT 2015, 1.8TSI

Issue: trying code Byte18, to other value. Car/BCM just ignores coding.
Also there are some errors in autoscan, I guess because I had battery disconnected yesterday.

Code:
Removed. Data from a clone/pirate version of VCDS is not welcome here.

After auto-scan I get bunch of errors that VCDS is unable to find a .ROD file:

EV_ECM18TSF02006K997071G 001002 (VW41)
EV_TCMA2Q50031 001004 (VW25 *)
EV_KESSYPQ3G5 A02717 (VW41)
EV_larba<..>(VW41)
EV_SMLSN<...>(VW36 *)
EV_Immo_DUS<...>(VW36 *)
EV_ELVMarqu<...>(VW41)
EV_TSGFPQ<...>(VW41)
EV_TGSBPQ<...>(VW41)

Why is there so much missing .ROD files? :banghead::confused:

Umm, I am sorry, I wasn't aware that cable is pirated, just used it from local "repair" service. I can try to get auto-scan from local official dealer if this would help. Since I need to solve this problem, or problem was with the cable?

I am confident a legitimate one will work more reliably. ;)
