Controller refused to send a seed!

    Hi all,

Just trying to access the door controller with my valid security access code and i get the error..

"Controller refused to send a seed!'

I've never had this error before as i have always used this code.

    Any pointers?

    I am using 17.8.1 on W10

    Thanks

    What car, what BCM?

An Auto-Scan, or at least the complete ID data for the BCM in question might us useful here.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

    ^^^^ That's a door controller, not a BCM.

...which code are you trying to enter and which function/procedure are you trying to perform? What makes you think the code in question is valid for this specific module?

    Hi Sebastian,

'Apparently' there is an adaptation that can be tweaked to perform folding mirror on the key.

However, after trying the code (42013) that i thought was the one, it appears it isn't the correct one and this is for the BCM.

    Thanks.

That's a legacy type of door module that uses the older CAN protocol. They don't support the Adp function (including those online tweak instructions) like the latest USD protocol units.

Edit, you may be able to find someone in your area that can assist using other tools. For example: http://forums.ross-tech.com/showthre...olding-Mirrors

    Thanks for the info Dana.

Just out of interest, how old are these modules then?

Are they still used in any other models?
