2014 VW Jetta MK6 Bi-Xenon Converson

Hey, so I've removed the lights and tested each pin I was able to find the side lights (pin14) but no DRLs still. Is there anything inside the lights I can check for this? I'm believing it's the headlight at fault here...

for drl to light up you need power to pins 10 & 12, and ground to pin 5 & 7

Hey M87a, You wouldn't believe i just studied the electrical diagram and figured that out lol, thanks for the info. I was able to get the lights working but i wired pin 10 & 12 on the 14pin harness side to pin 10 & 4 on the 10pin harness. I'm getting my park lights and DRLs but i enabled the feature to turn off the DRLs while the indicators are on and it only works while the parking lights are on the off position.

Would like this to also work with the park lights on but it seems like pin 4 on the 10pin harness side turns off while the park lights are on and the DRLs requires 2 power inputs.

If i cant get this working i will accept this as is. I'm just happy to have DRLs now

you just need to figure out correct byte 18 for drl to work properly, i cant really recommend any good value for jetta since it's a bit of a mystery for byte 18 coding

hmm ok ok, im really hesitant to mess with the byte 18, but it works fine and i have no faults so i will live with it

I wanted to ask for some further assistance. I have two issues that i wanted to ask about sometime now.

1) So i realized that my Fuel Tank lid stopped locking. I checked the BCM to confirm that the option was enabled but the option is not there at all.
2) I had my DRL's set to turn off when the turn signals are on. However, if either of the turn signals are on while the car is off and i turn the car on, i would get a check DRL error on the MFD. Also, if i turn them off from the MFD and turn the car off, then back on, I would also get the check DRL error

This is the last scan i did while i had these issues. Thanks in advance.

In regards to the fuel flap the factory condition Auto-Scan (before any changes) would be very helpful. I believe the one in post #1 was after modifications were made.

The only fuel door coding bit I'm aware of is Byte 07, Bit 5 Tank Flap Lock/Motor (0 = bidirectional / 1 = unidirectional). That's not something you would normally change so I doubt the end result of a coding change would be desirable. Instead, I would try Selective Output Test labeled Fuel Tank Flap so you can verify power and ground in an attempt to rule out a bad motor or wiring.

In regards to the DRLs I'm not sure what to say. We would normally use the combination of info from the 09-BCM and 55-Xenon module in conjunction with factory wiring diagrams to assist. Since this isn't a complete factory retrofit I don't have any experience to share with you.

The DRL/parking light problem could be related to Byte 18, individual coding bits or the wiring. My only suggestion would be to try turning on Byte 27, Bit 2 LED-Daytime Running Light (DRL) Module for Parking/Position Light & Daytime Running Light (DRL) to see if there's any change.
