Hi, I need some information for advanced measured values in address 01 as I have an irregular pinking noise between 1500 and 1700 rpm just prior to the turbo taking up.

All the injectors are even in the smooth running/compression test and delivery rate and pressure are within specification also the return rate for each injector is uniform.

Any information on which mvb's will show whats happening at the injection time between part load 1500 to 1700 rpm would be fantatstic.

No mechanical defects noise is isolated to combustion only and clears above 1700 rpm dpf is fine no fuel in oil no fuel contamination injectors are coded and in fitted correctly valve timing is correct.


Im particular intrested in cylinder 2 value below as this is bang on when the knock is active

Reet, struggling as to what this animal is? Says common rail, noted DPF, is this a misprint ,diesel or gas?

That said don't hear fuel knocks a lot in diesels and have question myself which would be better addressed maybe by somebody else, but did note Cam speed is not half of Crank, I can't answer that one, and maybe has something to do with the issue.

If gas mega knock shows up a lot in off cam timing and turbo over boost raising combustion pressure up to 1,000psi or more so would be normal for fuel to get chopped in any of the holes, but you stated turbo not up yet. ''

Ok so the issue is partially fixed, swapped injector 2 with injector 1 and recoded both injectors knock cleared and IDE09328 Cylinder 2 bank 1 internal moment is now uniform with the rest of the cylinders.

The long term fix seems to be the ecu as this has happened before and after 700 miles the same issue returns as the learning phase after coding the injector seems to reset at the 700 mile distance.

Its a strange issue and as the ecu is at its most current sw release no option to update. I feel the need for more information refering to injection measured values is needed by vcds or odis.

Anyway i will keep you updated as the car runs sweet as a nut now.

Jack, too many acronyms for my small (old brain) but always thought the new GDI were in some ways classified as CR. Is probably a mute point as I picture intense pressure as Common Rail, I know my bad.Gasoline direct injection.
