Hi,
Not to sure regarding the low and high error code, but as I remember from Volvo way back in early 2000 models, their diesel engines rather often threw both the high and low pressure codes in common rail when the fault seemed to be clogged fuel filter. This can be caused be frozen water/dirt or just summer diesel in winter or very cold weather (diesel tend to separate out a wox like sediment, thats why we have "summer" and "winter" diesel, slightly different mixture in them).
I would first change filter as per manual. erase fault codes, and test.
If problem persist, You can try to test them.

Keep in mind that a common rail system has a high to very high pressure in them, so outmost caution shall be used when fiddling with this system

Petrol
You can use DIY cleaning of injectors to see if cleaning them lowers the internal leak, causing it/them to leak out one or more of them. Another option is to take them out and perform a injector squirt check (several videos on youtube), when out, you can also apply pressure from cleaning solvent to intake port and se if it leaks thru when no power is applied to injector.
Might also be worth checking the Fuel pressure sensor, by means of VDCS and if fluctuations is recorded by VDCS, test with an additional gauge, compare if recorded values from VDCS, this can tell if sensor is dodgy.

FYI regarding Diesel
Here it is often it is just a matter of disconnecting return line on top of each injector and place a hose from each injector to a bottle or similar (one for each injector). Remember to blank of hose/tube back to tank/collector tube, or else you can have reverse flow out the open hose/pipe.
I remember from my X5, that max allowed limit was 20ml over a minute, mine had 15ml on no#5 and 100ccl on no#6, this gave me start problems (that the workshop did not manage to find, over many many attempts, even when I asked for a specific leak test) found it myself by means of cutting 3mtr of 6 windshield washer hoses into 6, and 6 bottles of coke. did the measurement with help of a 150ml syringe.

Thanks for chiming in. Does your suggested testing also apply to the high pressure direct injection engine (1500 psi or so) we are dealing with here?

Re-flash controller to stock...........and verify fuel not contaminated with water or scale.

Measure mechanicals of HPP during cold start and volume tests in addition to adequate lift pump output with static check of filter regulation.

Verify PSI sensor correlates to OBD reports.

Check fuel injectors for damage from wrong contaminated fuel used.

Add shot glass of marvel mystery oil & half shot glass or MOS2 oil additive "shaken not stirred" in gallon of gas with a half bottle of isopropyl gas additive........ then add to tank.

This strategy can be used in early diesel too but only two cups of gasoline added to all CR TDI.

Go ahead dismiss it .........but you are the one asking for help.

IDK maybe I have some experience in the field or something with things seen.

Are you not even aware of the corrosive affects of the USA fuels inside the fuel system via TSB?

I wouldn't state to do something if it can't be done without a significant benefit or verified testing.
