I would very much like to know, if maybe Byte 8 Bit 1 or Bit 2 could be Exhaust flap control unit(s).

Explanation about Exhaust flap control unit, is in SSP607 and SSP661.

There is no exhaust flap data if you search for "3816" ?

There is another new thing with the Facelift. After a cold-start there is a yellow message "Engine rpm only up to 5500 rpm" (bad translated from german) which is a hint that either the rpm is really limited to 5500 or it's a recommendation as long as the engine is cold.
No single bit or channel points to this warning message as other people already asked how it could be deactivated

Could it be the case that some bits in the ECU are responsible for this?

The B7 RS4 had a similar message which WAS accompanied by a rev limiter at 7000rpm (normal rev limit was 8250rpm) - IIRC it was hard coded into the engine ECU and could only be changed by a "chip tune", some tuners reduced it to 4000rpm on request - sorry Jack!

I don't know, probably something internally in one/some of the controllers.

Have you tested what these Adaptations do ?
    Engine:
    IDE04617-Protective function

    Instrument:
    ENG102605-ENG103211-outside_temperature-p_blocking_time_after_v_bigger_0

Regarding instrument cluster: I think this whole block only deals with outside temperature warning.

Regarding engine: Interesting, my adpmap with Release 17.8.1 does not have this channel. I only did the Auto-Scan with the newest beta. I'll have a look...

Don't ask me why "IDE07855-Deactivation of warm travel request, active" didn't come to my attention. In german it is "IDE07855-Deaktivierung der Warmfahraufforderung, aktiv".
But this is paradox as "the deactivation is active"....I'll try this tomorrow morning as my car is not cold at the moment

Are you sure? ‘Warmfahren’ is a really normal term (literal translation ‘driving it warm’) in german and dutch for the warming up phase in which the engine isn’t at operating temperature yet.

Aufforderung roughly translates to notice or info.

Thanks for explaning my native language.
Well, as I said it sounds quite paradox as "The deactivation is active" by factory. This should mean that there is no warning. But there is. This 5500 rpm thing.

(I have it in the Virtual Cockpit)

Well sorry for missing your locale in your profile.

If its active from the factory, change it to not active, and vice versa. Reset instument panel when applying coding.

If it doesnt respond, try going through any available settings in the infotainment. Those tend to override any adaptation changes.

I already did change it to "not active" without effect, but didn't restart the unit, I'll try that again.
