As far as the 03 module goes with PR-Code D2L
Channel 021: Overboost Level should be 7
Channel 061: Hydraulic Brake Reinforcement should be 0
If those modifications alone resolve all issues I would stop there.

The SA codes and Adp channels from my previous post are for #44 (The electromechanical steering rack module). They don't apply to the 03-ABS module.

All set!
I replaced the rear calipers with the eBrake, bled the rear wheels, performed basic setting and adaptation then the eBrake amber flashing light went away.

Now, I am down to only #55

with below three errors:

When I run clear fault, the faults will become 2 faults only 01537 and 01539 .

Checked fueses and tried to do adaptation but it shows Erros.

All set!
It turned out the rear sensor was causing the problem. I checked the connection and then Basic setting became available. I ran basic setting and the light went offfffffffff

All done , no more fault code nor ligs in the Dash.

Thank you all for your inputs specially Dana!

last fav to ask
Does anyone know how to program the Steering Wheel Control Module? Apparently below module is belong to the 2012 car and per the dealer its the only one does not match the rest of the modules in the car hence the ' Steering Column Lock Fault, Visit shop!' message.
Now if I define below module in the CAN Gateway module I guess, the error will go away. Any idea how to program this control module? The rest of Auto Scan is the same and I need help with this control module to be program properly with the rest of the car * too bad I cant go back to the orignal one bc the wiring harness was changed*

recently had same issue, only way to resolve it was to install newer steering wheel module and recode to same value, it seems that older software is causing this, but this was in my case...

Thank you for the input. Did you install newer module with same wiring harness or different? This car's wiring harness was changed from 2010 to 2012 and the Module is 2012 now while all the other modules are 2010. I cannot change the Steering Wheel module back to 2010 because the cable connector does not fit the 2010.

The dealer said that the new module need to be recorded in other module so as the all match. Now I ave option to go back to the 2010 module ( i need instruction for how to change the connector) OR code the 2012 installed module on the car ( It is coded already and working, but the question is where else in the car need to be coded for this module?)

Thanks,
Pfaizulla

I had issue with module because it stopped working, steering angle sensor was messed up, so I installed earlier version 5K0 953 569 B but I had elv error, after that we tried newer version 5K0 953 569 AB and everything worked no issues.
So there is some software incompatibility which is causing for elv not to lock.
This is just a wild guess but maybe you will have to use older module, meaning module with older software or newer? test it, not old module but older revision of the same module

M87a, as I mentioned earlier, the wiring harness was replaced in this car and the cable connector does not fit on the older module anymore.

m87a assisted us with countless additions to this page so I consider him the go-to when it comes to SWCMs: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Steering_Wheel_Control_Module_Versions

My good 2012 CC scan (post #11) in addition to this vehicle use 5K0-953-569-T but the SWLs are not the same:

For that reason I support the idea of experimenting with an older revision of the #16 same module.

Hi Dana,

Thanks for your input. I mentioned earlier the wiring harness was upgraded to 2012 and I am nolonger able to connect the older #16 to the connector on the car. I was asking if anyone ever cut the cable and connected the old connector to be able to connect the old #16.
Is that even possible?

MAYBE it is maybe not, I have upgraded from oder module to new one meaning gone from 3C0-953-549-AH to new 5K0 953 569 AB, but you don't seem to understand, DON'T USE OLD MODULE! USE NEWER MODULE BUT OLDER REVISION OF THE NEWER MODULE, MEANING OLDER DATE / SOFTWARE HW etc....
so you will still use 5K0 953 569 but instead T try 5K0-953-569-H or try cutting wires and returning original old module with old stalks... Your choice
Best of luck

So either change the software ( How can I do that) or cut the wire and connect it to the old connector?

You would look for a used module with the identical part numbers (Part No SW: 3C5 953 501 BG HW: 5K0 953 569 T) BUT with the older SWL as shown in my 2012 CC good car example which had 0136. Hopefully you can locate "0136" on a sticker without needing to plug it in and communicate if you experiment with used modules.

The alternative would be going back to another part number (such as 5K0-953-569-H) to see if you have success with that instead.

First hello.

Second WTH - What The Hell :) module 5k0 953 569 T will even work in 2006 3C with no problems if coding is correct. The 569 has to be Passat 3C specific as for example 569-B doesn't support ELV. Software doesn't even count as much, but best would be 0140 as discussed in this thread: http://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?7182-Passat-B6-steering-wheel-upgrade-to-MK6/page2
I cannot find this part with different SW nor change the cable connector because I really do not know in which order should I connect the cable again.

2012 and 2010 module have two different connectors for both the module and the airbag one.
I think my best chance now is to wait for the dealer to see what VW Germany will recommend.
