    key fob recognition

    Hi i have a 2011 tiguan i need a spare key, i can get a key that is programed for the immobiliser from my original. is it possible to make the car learn a new fob for keyless entry using vcds.

    Yes, I would think that should be possible.

    how would you do it using vcds ive read so many conflicting reports some say you cant its steelership only on these vehicles , i cant believe that. i know to program the transponder you need the pin/skc but that's already being done. so its just fob recognition i cant believe only the dealer does it and if vcds can definitely do it thats the way i shall go/

    no,.......... you dont know, so seems you did not even do that
    VCDS can not do that
    that type of Kessy key (Tiguan, Golf 6 , Eos , Sharan etc) must be re-learn to IMMO , during that procedure is re-learn again into KESSY module.

    sorry you lost me my local locksmith can clone my transponder so the key will start the car its just the remote part

    i haven't bought vcds yet so i cant give you a scan.i just wanted to make sure you can make a new key fob work with central locking with vcds on my car before i bought it.

    he can clone the transponder, but cant program the remote for central locking
