Hi Guys, first post here so I shall try to make it short and sweet.
Story so far, got a call of my pal last week, his friend had brought his car in with the airbag light on. they got someone to look at it with a scan tool, I cant remember which one he said it was but it wasn't VCDS, he diagnosed a fault with the airbag module and they whipped it out and sent it off somewhere to get "repaired". it came back allegedly repaired, they fitted it and found the light still on so thought that it just needed flagged faults cleared which is where I came in.
As you can see from the scan there are faults with modules:
15- airbags (which is looking to me to be a defective unit)
37 and 56 (presumably these are both the same physical RNS300 head unit and have a coding issue)
7D- aux heating
3 questions
1) does the airbag controller req replaced or is there anything else that would throw up that fault ie wiring issue?
2) the radio/nav coding DTC clears but comes back on refresh, but coding seems correct according to here http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Radio_Navigation_System_(RNS300)#Coding am I using the correct page?
3) the Aux heating DTC's do not clear (request not acknowledged by controller) any ideas?
