Hi guys im new here, im from Serbia.
Can someone tell me if i can see my engine code (ALH,AGR) on VCDS i drive skoda octavia 1.9 tdi?

Note, 1/3 down the label, red circle around the Engine code.

No need for VCDS to identify the engine code.

Welcome to the forum.

The ALH 90PS is fitted in 12 VAG models. The AGR 90PS is fitted in 10 VAG models.

If you want an app I made that shows all VAG, 5,864 engine codes and 12,088 transmission codes PM me?

I think Zewa is asking if VCDS supports this vehicle.

I am not very familiar with Skoda so I'll leave it to the R-T team to answer.

Ahh.. well, the answer is VCDS should support that engine on that Skoda as far as I know.

As I read it he's asking if VCDS can read/see his engine code like it finds the VIN number from the ecu, no it can't.

There are easier ways to do that such locating the PR-Code sticker (as Bruce mentioned) or plugging the VIN into any of several 'resources'.

True, but if I understand correctly, each engine has its own ECU calibration and therefore part number, even if the ECU hardware is shared.

VW publishes that calibration to ECU part number mapping table here in North America. I assume they do something similar overseas. That would be a neat lookup table to have embedded in VCDS somehow.
