Audi A6 2008 TCM replacement

Hi everybody, I have a faulty TCM in audi a6 2008 (engine code: ASB). I need replace it to a new (used) TCM. Is any solution to re-program it? What I have to do? Have some steps or something? Thanks!

You could check out ELSAWIN workshop repair manual, or have a look whether ERWIN has something useful for you.

Like Jack said VCDS will not be able to program TCM.
TCM has immobilizer data in it and if you buy used one VW Dealer will not be bale to program it. However there is some tools on market which can reprogram used module but in that case you have have TCM and ECU or EVL form same car ( ECU or EVL need only to read data from donor car ).

And is any solution about desolder some memory and change it to the new(used) one? Or read from old and write to the new?
