I recently purchased a new 2018 VW Tiguan SE (US spec). Today I did my first autoscan and there are 7 controllers that do not have label files.
I have no labels for:

As you will probably already know, Ross-Tech is continuously playing "catch-up" as VW brings out their newest control modules. The VCDS community can help make their cables more up-to-date by sending control module maps to RT. Look HERE

PS: making "admaps" of all modules in a car is also beneficial for the car owner because it provides a complete database of the car's settings in their virgin state. You might never need to access this information in the future - which is a good thing. But when (if?) the brown stuff ever hits the fan, the database can be a very valuable resource

OK, I tried to do control module maps (debug level 2) and realized that all 7 controllers use UDS protocol, so no maps were created.
Is there anything else that I can do to help you guys get label files for my car's controllers?
So far, I have been using my old HEX-CAN-USB cable but I also have a HEX-NET, if that will help.

Hi Don,

Modules that do not have labels may have experimental coding. Try scanning these modules with the HEX-NET and click coding. VCDS will pop up:

Experimental coding can only be accessed via HEX-V2/HEX-NET.

Hrm, it should have made maps for you anyway, as all your UDS modules have ROD data.

You should use your HEX-NET. You can still use it USB-cabled if WiFi is inconvenient or unavailable.

HEX-NET/HEX-V2 will be dramatically faster than HEX-USB+CAN on a vehicle of this type, and it might see some additional controllers that use a new form of CAN communication that isn't supported by HEX-USB+CAN. I'm not sure what will be installed in the new 2018 Tiguan, but I can tell you there's four controllers in my 2018 Atlas that only HEX-NET/HEX-V2 can see. Also, you'll need to use your HEX-NET to access the experimental coding data discussed earlier in this thread.

OK, I used the HEX-NET today. I set debug level to 2 and ran another autoscan. I now have a whole bunch of .csv files (adpmap and blockmap files). I will zip these files up and email them to support@ross-tech.com when I get home later.

The HEX-NET did not reveal any controllers not seen by my old cable, but it did allow me to create controller maps. Also you were correct in that it is also noticeably faster.

Just a quick question, i have a new tiguan too and retrofitting stuff. Would you happen to have the comfort phone preparation installed (with the wireless charger in the storage compartment below the HVAC controls)? If so, could you share an adaptation channel map of the 5F unit with the VCDS 17.10 Beta?

I went out checked the 7th and 8th digits in the vin number so I could run an autoscan and they are AX. AX in the autoscan menu says its for "2010 to 2017 Tiguan nar" is this the right one for my 2018 Tiguan.

You don't need to specify a chassis. Just use Auto-Detect.

Here is my auto scan it looks like the dealer didn't take it out of transport mode. I hope this is something that can be taken care of with vcds as the dealership is 2 hrs. away.

Nah, there's lots of stuff that wouldn't be working correctly if it were still in Transport Mode. Notice also that all the Transport Mode Active faults are flagged "Intermittent". I suspect what we have here is yet another example of a dealer that didn't bother to clear the bloody fault codes during PDI. Try clearing those codes (in the individual modules) and let us know what happens.

As for checking (or changing) the status of Transport Mode:
