Hi every one, been lurking around for a while and this is my first post.
My name's Ross and I'm from Melbourne, Australia.
I own a 2000 Audi TTQ and a 2010 TTRS.
I'm going to get some KW V3 coilover for my TTRS and the car has got magnetic ride.
I've done a bit of research and discovered that the magride communicates with the instrument cluster, CAN gateway, ABS and headlight range.
Using my VCDS cable i managed to code it out of the instrument and headlight range successfully, but i can't code it out of the ABS module as it says is coded with Software Version Management and when i pull the fuse out Can bus comes with a no communication error, i believe this can be solved by disconnecting the unit altogether from the wiring loom, but what about the ABS coding?

Hi TBAx, absolutely nothing! If i remove the fuse i get the no communication error from the Can gateway and ABS module.

If my recollection is correct, #03 (Coding), #19 (Installation List) as well as #17 (should be Coding) and possibly #44 (Adaptation) need to be updated once you physically disconnect #14/J250.

Hi Sebastian, is this in the CAN gateway module only? Doesn't unticking #14 from the installation list change #3 (coding) automatically?

I've read several threads regarding "I threw magnetic ride away, how to remove it" and the right ABS coding seems to be the almost impossible thing to get along with

How do you plan to fix headlight? DCC sensors are also used for Headight Range via CAN.

Hadez16. This was my next question. I was wondering if anyone happen to have the ABS code for a MY2010 TTRS manual without DCC,with hill hold assist and auto wipers.
golfi_vend. You need to change the code in the headlight range module from TT with magride to TT with steel suspension and need to do adaptation otherwise you'll get a malfunction message.

I had a try this afternoon, changed all the codes and pulled off the fuse for magride.
Everything works bar the headlight range, i was confident last time i tried it worked!
I tried adaptation basic settings and output test but nothing works.
In measuring blocks i can see the sensors are at 0% and basic frequency at 0ms

Hmm -- looks like you already tweaked the coding to "Audi TT (8J) with Steel Suspension and All-Wheel-Drive (AWD)".

So the missing sensor DTCs make sense 'cause your car doesn't have those sensors. You would need to retrofit those.

What puzzles me though is why the headlight range module is still looking for (J197) and (J250). Have you also tweaked the GVL?

That's what i was telling. If you disable DCC, Your Xenon Headlight module will not work because height comes via CAN from DCC sensors.

Hi uwe, thanks for editing my posts.
I did tweak the installation list and now i don't get J197 and J250 but i still get the level sensors opencircuit error.
I did a bit of research and the level sensors for headlight range and magride share the same part number, only difference is magride uses 4 sensors and headlight range front left and rear left.
I believe the 4 sensors feed directly into the magride, consequently HR won't see them due to power been taken off the magride by removing the fuse.
Does anyone have the pinout schematic of the magride plug 6Q0973047?
I might be able to bridge some wires or i could get this.
