Intermittent failure caused by ABS sensors

I installed the upgraded WHT003864A ABS rear wheel sensors and recoded my ABS to support the new sensors as preparation to ACC retrofit. No errors on dash but I see two errors on vcds autoscan. These are not there constantly, they appear after the car speed exceeds 80km/h. No lights on dash just these two errors show up in VCDS scan.

My sensors are ATE made but not OEM.

Any ideas are the sensors faulty or coding not correct? Or maybe I've missed some calibration routine?

The fault on the 10 en 17 have to do with the wrong settings ore missing update on the ABS.

You can olso try to change the valeu 50 to FO this maybe help it.

I olso now when i retrofitt the PLA i have change the rear abs sensors to WHT003864A.
But you dont need to change when you retrofitt to ACC.

Thank you Barstanders for the information.

So is it possible to update the ABS software from A => AC or would I need to change the complete ABS module? According to ETKA A should be ok for 8T5 = distance control plus cruise control, so I would presume that the ABS should be fine for these sensors as well?

I have the software update for the engine but I haven't had the guts to run it with VCP. I will have the software for engine and DSG updated at the next service.

I will try to F0 value in byte26 as well.

The ABS sensors are required for DSG as it will also introduce front assist with stop & go functionality. Manual gearbox does not need the ABS sensor change as it does not have stop & go.

If you download the PDF you see on page 218 the retrofitting ACC.
The olso changing byte 24 on the abs.

Update is possible but i have done it by the VW not VCP!!

According to the instructions there I did the coding for the ABS sensors. Initially before changing the code, there were all sorts of errors in ABS and it was also visible on the center display, after changing the code, all the errors disappeared. Now only this intermittent error after certain speed has been exceeded.

And yes, I won't update the engine software with VCP. I did update headlight control module with that and it lost all the parameter data, I had to reparametrize the unit. Now if that happens to ECU and it loses all the IMMO data as well. Then that's not good.

I believe that the IMMO data is stored in a dedicated EEPROM. A ECU flash won't mess with the IMMO EEPROM.

My statement needs confirmation.
