    A4 B8 Cluster

    Hi

    Can VCDS adapt a virgin cluster to 2008 A4 2.0 TDI B8?

    Thanks

I doubt it. Even if the car has Immo somewhere else (like Kessy), I would expect you'd run into Component Protection.

You can install a new/used cluster in a B8 and adapt mileage etc. so that basic functions will work. However - as indicated by Uwe - to achieve full functionality, component protection will need to be removed via GeKo (by an Audi dealer or independent shop with adequate access). The cluster is not part of the immobilizer, in the B8 platform.

Plug and play, that should do. Some function will be blocked due to component protection.

Tired that. But says safe. And now no dials working. As far as I know this is cars original cluster but was virginized for some reason so needs married to car again....

Must not be. As it says component protection in faults along with incorrect adaption...
