Hello all, I 'm here to ask for some information.
I know your product because of a lot of internet video and forum using VCDS. The thing I like very much is long coding helper.
Before buying one interface I would like to ask what kind of "support" there's in 5F chassis (Seat Leon MK3).

With another interface and software (blutooth device) I had this info:
Engine 04L907309B
Brakes 5Q0907379F
Climatronic 5F0907044D
Central Electrics 5Q0937084AE
Airbag 3Q0959655AC
Dash Board 5F0920861A
Gateway 5Q0907530F
Door driver 5Q4959593B
Steering 5Q0909144P
Door passenger 5Q4959592B
Information Unit 5F0035869A
Park assistance 5Q0919283

Are this "parts" supported by long coding helper??

Thank you!

Long coding helper will be available when a module has long coding, when module uses short coding then (obviously) the long coding helper will not be offered.

I think he's asking how much Long Coding documentation is available for each of those modules.

It's fairly tedious to go through that entire list of part numbers one-by-one to see which files (if any) cover it. I may do it during business hours next week, but not today.

Is there something in particular you wish to accomplish on this car?

Thank you Uwe for your reply on sunday :-)
I know for sure there're some kind of coding possible on Doors (5Q4959592B and 5Q4959593B) and Dashboard (5F0920861A). Something I have done is right mirror lowering on reverse, visible radar on dashboard with reverse (instead of simples beeps). I know there's also some other disabled features but coding those things only by bits without any help is not so simple because you need to trust on source (something written by someone in a forum) instead of a valuable source as RT is.
Don't know how many feature are still available (and described by long coding helper).

My question is: is the purchase of a cable justified by the recognition of many (if not all) parts of the car? Or is it a model not (yet) covered enough?
Again, thank you Uwe.

Engine 04L-907-309-B: Probably doesn't have coding help.

ABS Brakes: 5Q0-907-379-F: Looks to me an MK100. Coding for these is not well understood and highly vehicle specific.

Climatronic 5G0-907-044-D: Coding looks pretty well documented.

Park/Steer Assist: 5Q0-919-283: Coding looks pretty well documented.

BCM 5Q0-937-084-AE: Coding looks pretty well documented.

Airbag 3Q0-959-655-AC: No coding available, looks like SVM and parameterization required.

Gateway 5Q0-907-530-F: Not sure what's available. Seems like it should have a CLB file but I can't find the source for it. Installation list is no problem in any case.

Doors: 5Q4-959-592-B and 5Q4-959-593-B: Definitely have coding at least partially documented.

Instrument Cluster 5F0-920-861-A: Coding also looks to be reasonably well documented.

Steering 5Q0-909-144-P: Two coding bytes, one of which is documented.

Information Electronics 5F0-035-869-A: No sure if that's documented at present.

That's a generic hardware part number, not a software part number - which would be engine code specific. Based in that generic hardware part number, this should be fully documented.

ABS Brakes: 5Q0-907-379-F: Looks to me an MK100. Coding for these is not well understood and highly vehicle specific.

Coding is intentionally withheld, if specific details are needed - we should be able to help. However, these requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and I don't plan on throwing the coding tables for the MK100 systems out in the public any time soon. Way too many ways to screw up and we have already way too many people screwing up BCMs and Light Configurations, no need to play with safety related systems.

Airbag 3Q0-959-655-AC: No coding available, looks like SVM and parameterization required.

Coding withheld intentionally, replacement modules are need to have component protection enabled anyway - so all replacement coding will be done via SVM in the process.

Gateway 5Q0-907-530-F: Not sure what's available. Seems like it should have a CLB file but I can't find the source for it. Installation list is no problem in any case.

Fully documented.

Doors: 5Q4-959-592-B and 5Q4-959-593-B: Definitely have coding at least partially documented.

Fully documented.

Steering 5Q0-909-144-P: Two coding bytes, one of which is documented.

Fully documented.

Information Electronics 5F0-035-869-A: No sure if that's documented at present.

Fully documented in latest data versions.

Fully documented
I'm a little hesitant to use that phrase. Some people might interpret it as "Every bit of every byte" is described. ;)

Definition of fully documented, all (coding) options supported by those control modules are documented. Not all options (bits and bit-combinations) are supported by all hardware & software variants. I believe we have that covered in the VCDS manual, certainly in the passages I wrote at the time. ;)
