VCDS Lite and SRS lite (2001 A6 Quattro Avant 2.8L)

I tried to search out the answer myself but acronyms are not acceptable search terms to the forum software ABS, SRS, ECU, etc.

I am wondering if I can reset my SRS light, and read the associated codes that have caused it to come on with VCDS-Lite, or if I need to go with an upgraded version.

    thank you in advance

    VCDS-Lite should work.

You can certainly clear the fault codes, but of course, if whatever fault(s) set those codes to begin with still exist, the faults (and the light) will come right back.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.
