Skoda Octavia 2 2006 Aircon, cold right, ambient temp left.
I have just had a new compressor and condenser fitted and re-gassed. Cool air is provided on the right but no cooling on the left. With the ignition on and engine off there is continuous rattling noise coming from the dash. I tried pressing Econ and recirculate together and saw strange symbol and heard actuators operating but got no code.
VCDS gives error code 01274 - Air Flow Flap Positioning Motor (V71)
000 - -
I looked at Measuring Blocks group 012 Left Temperature Flap Control Motor V158/Potentiometer G220. The current value is cycling randomly, too quickly to read easily 60 – 120? Specified value is 93. Min posn 78. Max posn 225.
I looked at Group 016. Air Flow Flap Control Motor V71/ Potentiometer G113. Current Value 227, Specified value 227, Min Posn 227, Max Posn 0
Why is the V71 indicated as the fault when V158 is the one randomly cycling?
Can this be a temp sensor fault?
Which motor needs replacing?
Does it need the dashboard removed, or can it be done through the top box/hazard warning panel?
