Time to make some serious attempts to get Traffic Jam Assist (also known as Congestion Assist) working.
It isn't activated in Oz on our FL S3s, but is for the cars being delivered in various other countries (e.g. UK).
Have all the other required hardware/options, but would like a reference map as a starting point.

Cheers

I suppose you would have told us if you managed to get this working?

I suppose I would, but haven't yet.
Waiting for MY18's, which supposedly have TJA enabled in Oz. No one OS had posted a clean scan.

Would maps from a MY18 A3 be of interest? If so, what modules? :) I have it enabled from factory on mine (Sweden)

I'm sure it could and would help a lot. I would suggest a complete scan would be the best. I'm no expert, but I would guess modules 09, 13, 17, 44, A5 and 5F (and 82 if you have the Head Up display) are the important ones. We'll not only need the coding, but the adaptions as well. Do you perhaps have Traffic Sign Recognition? (VZE)

Any luck getting this working yet?! I just picked up an RS3, so I have the hardware (and Lane Assist + ACC), but obviously the lane assist shuts off below 38mph.

Thanks!

Guys,

@backeby posted his full map on another thread - here’s the thread:

http://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?11258-2018-Audi-A3-Sportback-2-0-TFSI-(CZPB)

I’m going to do the same for my ‘18 RS3 and see if i can do a ‘diff’ between the two to compare the settings. Furthermore, a few other forums have indicated that there is an encrypted firmware block that may need to be uploaded into the camera, which VCDS is inadequate for. The guys down in Oz seem to have figured it out, but i’d really like to find out if i’m able to simply flip a switch to get it done. I’m hopeful that my ‘18 is already updated far enough to turn it on.

Alrighty - best I can tell, I have the same hardware, software, and firmware of all of the components of a vehicle that actually has TJA enabled - And from what I can tell the majority of the adapmaps are also the same - what's *not* the same is the line that says "Coding"... so I'm not sure why/what that does.

My RS3:

Code:
Address A5: Frt Sens. Drv. Assist (R242) Labels:| 3Q0-980-65X-A5.clb
  Part No SW: 3Q0 980 654 H HW: 3Q0 980 654 A
Component: MQB_B_MFK H08 0272
Serial number: 14081712P21386
Coding: 040307010000020101222346814E490080000E200120

A3 with TJA:

Code:
Address A5: Frt Sens. Drv. Assist (R242) Labels:| 3Q0-980-65X-A5.clb
   Part No SW: 3Q0 980 654 H HW: 3Q0 980 654 A
   Component: MQB_B_MFK H07 0272
   Serial number: 21061712P21567
   Coding: 040307030000040101222344C14EA90098000E200080
   Shop #: WSC 06314 790 00021
   ASAM Dataset: EV_MFKBoschMQBB 001001
   ROD: EV_MFKBoschMQBB_VW36.rod
   VCID: 3C223CA066EA8C57472-8068

Anybody care to take a look and see if I'm missing something?

Oz? Nope. Some Europeans from Netherlands and Germany actually did it. The guy who is selling this in Sydney did not take part in this. It actually is parameters only to upgrade from Active Line Guidiance to TJA, so VCP is your tool of choice here. All adaptions and codings following this procedure are for Emergency Assist, not TJA in particular. Doing these codings and adaptions without the correct parameters are not doing any harm, but are also not enabling anything I am afraid.

I was able to enable TJA on one of the last prefacelift Golf7. Prerequisites are a supported combination of firmware (Software Part No.) on ACC and Camera. The guys from VCP are collecting and encrypting paramtersets for their customers, so if they don't get their hand on a parameterset matching your configuration, you cannot enable TJA.
