Hi,

I retrofitted air con early this year but now its getting colder I've noticed no real heat coming from the air vents.

I've tested with VCDS and it seems like the climate control module isn't sending the correct specified output to turn the heat on full.
I've done a recirculation flap alignment and basic settings a few times and when it's doing the test its fully working and I get heat. I can also see the temp flap actuator moving to its highest and lowest settings so it seems like the wiring/component is fine.

I'm pretty sure the issue started after I installed the aircon.

If I view the live data the specified value only goes to 145 (the max hot setting is 225) so its as if the CCM isnt sending the correct info.
The only thing I can think of is coding but there doesnt seem to be any codes or adaptations that can be applied?

My CCM is:

What made you choose this specific Climate Control Unit? Some brief research revealed 1K0 820 047 FT being from a Passat and not necessarily Caddy compatible. Since these model specific parameters are hard coded as part of the parametrization, you may need to replace this with a proper part.

Thanks for the reply. I got it second hand along with a Touran dash so assumed it was from a Touran.

Do you know which part number I would need, my ac is relay controlled so it's not a modern dual control one?

Ive noticed that some have an econ button and others have an a/c button so maybe I need econ instead of ac?

Thanks

The problem with retrofits and used parts is, you really need to check compatibility with your specific build date/range. I would not pull the trigger on purchasing one right away, though checking compatibility should be done.

The heater box etc. are all parts that came with the Touran dash? So theoretically they should be a match? Which parts did you source elsewhere?

The dash, heater box, ccm etc are all supposedly from a Touran but theres no way of knowing for sure I guess. I was told the same units were in all care the only difference are some are climatic and some climatronic.

I've just found this info here https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/2771/
